Skoda east European car manufacturer Czech mated the crowd with a dazzling display of cars and beauties at the Expo. For Skoda this year is critical since it has not only repositioned the superb, but also launched the Laura, effectively making it a key player in the D-segment. The yeti attracted a huge crowd providing the company valid reason to look into making it commercially available. The other car that created a stir was the Laura. Not only was the DSG equipped 1.9TDi PD on display, but also the full fat and totally gorgeous Laura RS. Powered by a 2.0 litre TFSi engine it propels its occupants from 0-100kmph in less than eight seconds. Not to be ignored was the Fabia. Featuring a 1.9 litre normally aspirated diesel, it belts out 68PS of peak power and given its teutonic build should be a hit. The timeframe for its arrival totally depends on whether Skoda manages to price it right.
